Samsung is making an important change to improve the calling experience on its Galaxy phones with Android 15. Starting with One UI 7, VoLTE will be automatically turned on for all supported Samsung devices.
Users of the Galaxy smartphone will no longer have to search through their phone’s settings to enable VoLTE, it will be ready to use right away. With One UI 7, Samsung will soon enable One UI 7 by default (via Android Authority).
VoLTE lets you make calls using the faster LTE network instead of the older 3G network. This change is important because many phone carriers, like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, have already shut down their 3G networks or are in the process of doing so.
Without VoLTE, you might have trouble making or receiving regular calls. By automatically turning on VoLTE, Samsung ensures that your calls will keep working even as 3G disappears.
Samsung has teamed up with the GSMA to make this happen. This partnership helps make sure that VoLTE works well across different carriers and regions. If your carrier supports VoLTE, it will now be enabled by default on your Samsung phone.

In addition to keeping your calls working, VoLTE improves call quality by using the HD Voice codec to make your conversations clearer. Also, it lets you make calls and use your mobile data.
Before this change, users had to find VoLTE in their settings and turn it on themselves. Now, with One UI 7, VoLTE will work right away, making it simpler for Galaxy phone users to enjoy better, more reliable calls.
