Following the stable release of One UI 7.0, Samsung has begun internal preparations for its next major software upgrade, Android 16-based One UI 8, for the Galaxy S25 series. After the Vanilla Galaxy S25 model, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus has now appeared on Geekbench with One UI 8.
This time, the Korean version of the Galaxy S25 Plus has been tested. It appeared with the software build number S936NKSU2BYDN, which shows that Samsung is testing One UI 8 internally.
The Galaxy S25 Plus with One UI 8 performed well in the benchmark test, getting a single-core score of 3146 and a multi-core score of 9545. While impressive performance, these results reflect early testing and are expected to improve with further optimization in future builds.
Back in January 2025, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025 with Android 15 and One UI 7.0. The upcoming One UI 8 update will be the first big software upgrade for these devices. Earlier, the global version of the Galaxy S25 was also seen on Geekbench with strong performance running One UI 8.
Samsung was slow with the Android 15-based One UI 7 rollout, but things look better with Android 16. Samsung may release the One UI 8 beta earlier than usual. It might still follow its regular schedule, launching the beta in Q3 and the stable version in Q4 of 2025.
One UI 8 is expected to bring new features and improvements over One UI 7. Stay tuned for more information.
