Samsung has announced new One UI beta program upgrades, and I’ve noticed something different in the One UI 8 banner preview that is part of the new announcement, which we haven’t seen in the past.
Before we begin, I want to emphasize that One UI 8 beta registrations aren’t open as of the time of writing this article, and this is a banner preview. It appears in the Samsung Members app for beta sign-ups and allowing you to enter the test program.
I’ve compared the new banner with its three predecessors, the latest has refreshed elements that focus on the visual advancements. The One UI 5, One UI 6, and One UI 7 banners are relatively similar, consisting of visual illustrations of the Samsung community.
However, that’s not the case with the new one; instead, it changed the entire outlook. For example, the background card design is detailed with new UI details. The following banner text content is the same (except for One UI 8 with Android 16), but the background color combination suits the theme.
It consists of different UI layers, such as the frosty background, new summary, cards, buttons, and more. Importantly, similar improvements are expected to come with One UI 8.
I’ve created a comparison between these banners, and you can check the difference. It may not look like a big deal, but we can’t rule out the fact that Samsung has tried a different perspective in its show-and-tell approach.
This also reminds me of the One UI 7’s software update settings page, which has increased visibility thanks to the new UI graphics inclusion.
This new UI is part of the broader beta program upgrade that Samsung just announced for users, simplifying sign-up and testing. The launch date for One UI 8’s beta program is still unknown, but it’s likely to start very soon.
