One UI 7.0 comes with numerous new feature upgrades, including a separate quick settings and notifications panels. Going separate ways for these key features looks more creative than before. Swipe down from the top left to open the notifications panel, and do the same to open the quick settings.
These two operational distances help to navigate to the exact place, instead of opening one window to expand another. This change also brings a broader area to check on-screen content without distractions.
Additions such as live notifications are well organized in separate space and fit well with other notifications. On the other hand, a similar window is allocated for quick settings, and it slides out with a single swipe. This one thing you cannot do with a unified layout.
The switches are redesigned for rounder touch, better color pallet for UI visibility, improved slider and smart device management. You also have the option to edit the quick settings any time, just like the old days. However, the system smoothness enables a better user experience while rearranging the panel’s content.
Still, Samsung is keeping some options for those who want something extra. That brings us to the panel settings. Here, you can swap places between quick settings and notifications panel.
But if you don’t want the new changes, tap on “Together” to view notifications and collapsed quick settings together. That will merge the quick settings and notifications panel in One UI 7.0.
On top of that, you can choose whether to show brightness control or smart device controls when the settings are collapsed.
Conclusion
The new way of engaging with quick settings is better than the previous, but if you want to go old school, then the together option is available at your service.
