Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users are getting the One UI 7 (Android 15) update in Canada. This major update is already out for users in Korea, Europe, China, the US, and India.
One UI 7 update brings a fresh new look to your phone. Buttons, menus, notifications, and control panels now look cleaner and more modern. There are smooth animations, pretty new colors, and a blur effect that helps you see important info more clearly.
Users of the Galaxy S22 series can identify the One UI 7 update via the One UI build versions given below.

The installation package size of this update is around 4.6GB. Along with new features it brings April 2025 security patch to improve system security and stability.
With One UI 7, the Quick Settings panel has a new look, and the app drawer is now vertical to make it easier to find apps. Now Bar shows helpful info on the lock screen, so you don’t need to unlock your phone.
The Call Transcripts feature lets you record and read phone calls in different languages. The update also adds better security features. However, some tools like Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, Audio Eraser, and Now Brief are missing for the Galaxy S22 series.
Aside from this, Samsung has reportedly started preparing One UI 8 for the Galaxy S22 series internally. It is expected that One UI 8 Beta program may start in late May or early June 2025.
